Booking & payment
How do I book?
Pick a session, choose an open date and time on the calendar, add your details, and pay the deposit. Your date is locked in as soon as the deposit goes through, and you'll get a confirmation email.
How much is the deposit?
50% of the session total. It holds your date and comes off your final balance.
When is the rest due?
The final payment is due 48 hours before your session.
How can I pay?
Debit or credit card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, all through secure checkout.
Can I reschedule or cancel?
You can reschedule for free up to 7 days before your shoot. Deposits are non-refundable but can move to a new date once.
Do you do custom quotes?
Yes. For photo and video together, multi-day events, or business content, send a request through the booking form and KD will put together a quote.
The shoot
How far ahead should I book?
2–3 weeks for portraits and reels. 1–2 months for events, especially weekends in spring and the holidays.
Can you help pick a location?
Yes. KD knows spots all over D.C., Maryland and Virginia and will suggest a few that fit your vibe.
How many outfits can I bring?
Lifestyle shoots and headshots include 1 outfit. Extra outfits can be added if time allows.
What if it rains?
For outdoor shoots, KD will reach out to move your session to the next open date at no cost.
Do you travel outside the DMV?
Yes. Travel outside the DMV is available as an add-on, priced by distance.
Video
What's the difference between event, cinematic and short-form video?
Short-form video is a vertical clip, 15–60 seconds, made for Instagram and TikTok, including brand promos. Event videography captures the highlights of your event in an edited film. A cinematic video is a fully produced, story-driven film with color grading and sound design.
What format will my video be in?
Reels are delivered vertical (9:16) for Instagram and TikTok. Event and cinematic videos are delivered widescreen (16:9), and a vertical cut can be added.
Do you add music?
Yes, using licensed music that's safe to post. You're welcome to send song ideas.
Can I ask for changes?
Every video includes one round of revisions.
Delivery
When will I get my photos?
Portraits in about 7 days and events in about 14 days, with sneak peeks within 48 hours for events.
When will I get my video?
Short-form video in about 5 days, event videos in about 10 days, and cinematic videos in about 2–3 weeks.
How do I receive everything?
Through a private online gallery where you can view, download and share in full resolution.
Can I get it faster?
Yes. Rush 72-hour delivery is available as an add-on.
